Did you print the boards yourself ?

The section of track at the stop is isolated.
When the loco arrives it stops at red signal.
After a time set by a volume control the signal turns to green, power is applied and loco moves on.
After a few seconds signal goes back to red.
I designed the circuit, designed the pcb and wrote the software for the microcontroller.
I have also designed a shuttle controller too.
Another project is a DCC shuttle controller. A big step up from DC control and much more complicated.

Admire the fun factor in producing this, will you be marketing this ?

You now need to design in slow stopping and pull away, as just turning off DC rail power via the relay causes abrupt stops and wheelie pull always where speed is set to normal running.

It would be OK with DCC if the locos were fitted with keep alive? But you would have to ensure that the deceleration for all locos was set to similar times, otherwise they might overshoot the signal.

Its already available. Heathcote Electronics are one such manufacturer with their SA-8 range of station stop modules
http://www.heathcote-electronics.co.uk/ ... SA8-S.html Note its primarily designed for DC but it can also be used on DCC where the decoder has DC operation enabled and a completely isolated stopping/starting track section is used

Tam Valley already sell the DCC version. I have one for the branch shuttle on Shaddeholme.

I have two shuttle units from Block Signalling. One is DC and deceleration can be achieved by the use of diodes. The second is DCC and acceleration and deceleration is achieved by CV settings.
