A Hasty Tour of Henley

I should have been grouping all this under one thread, but by the time I realized what I was doing wrong, I was rather deep into it. I shall, in the near future, to coagulate all this under one thread title. Apologies :o

My latest drivel, slapped up before I whipped up dinner for the kids and motored off to work for the night. Eat, work, model trains. Or as Bennie Hill said, “I spent all my money on wine, women, and song. The rest I wasted.”

I decided, today, no more vintage locomotives. :x . Yesterday, I was thinking how good it might feel to chuck this Electra over the garden wall, but then the city might fine me for polluting the drainage canal. :o . I went so far as to photograph from six angles to unleash it on eBay (runs, may need work). Slept on it, and decided that since it was an antique, it was necessary to give it a lot more latitude. It is not reasonable to expect it to behave like my new Hornby stuff, that glide along seamlessly, at any slow rate. After a little testing it runs beautifully if it is in the anti-clockwise direction upon the inner loop, points set for a maximum rollout through the curved switches, at the high end of voltage, pulling only ultra light coaches. There. Problem solved. I am in love again. NFS. :)
