Which make surface point motor
Hi, i have an area that will have to have surface point motors, has anyone found Gaugemaster, Hornby or Peco as a preference for fitting & reliability, Its on a dcc layout & was going to use Gaugemaster frog juicers.

I've only used Peco so can't comment about the others. Peco work well, but I've not tried the surface mounted type.

I have about 40 sets of points all driven by Peco surface mounted motors, I have never had any problems with them, they look like real point motors and the wires are easily camouflaged. I found the Hornby ones a bit unreliable, plus they do not fit the Peco points, the holes are different sizes in the operating arm.

Why Cobalt-SS look interesting, but i have my scrooge hat on as we get near the 25th. So Peco wins.

This is a bit cheaper, they do a crossover kit i think i paid £60 for the both items that makes it £15 a PM, although they need to be used in pairs as there are only 2 control units, handy for swapping tracks which is what i use them for....
