The Uganda Railway
My wife and I were in Uganda in April/May 2018, I had been there a number of times before. The national railway system which was built with the line to the coast at Mombasa in Kenya is metre-gauge. This is the first of a series of articles about 'The Uganda Railway'

There's some fascinating detail about East African Railways at the end of steam here, not by enthusiasts from Britain but by schoolboys of expat families at the "European" school in Nairobi, who had substantial experience of travel by the train in the 1950s-60s.
