Hello everyone
I've been given a model spaceship, and it has some working lights.
My question is looking at the diagram below can I run this lighting
from a 9volt battery or do I need to use a transformer.

Looking at the sheet they seem to be filament lamps rather than LEDs.
Its unclear from the partial image if the power supply suggested and to be in the 14 to 16 volts range, provides a DC or AC output?? However, as its stated to be a "Transformer" then it may well be AC? But the PCB should convert that to DC for the electronics to work and a DC input would be OK.
The Blue lamps (item 18) only have the one resistor and would work on DC or AC, but if they are 8 volts as suggested, then they will not illuminate on a 9v battery, so rewire them to be in parallel with each other rather than in series and if possible add a second resistor in to the second lamp as per the first would be (The original resistor may not be of sufficient wattage rating to handle two filament lamps?) hence use two resistors. Though for a short period you can try the one resistor in the two lamps feed if wished. If it gets very hot you need to have a resistor is each blue lamps feed wire.

I doubt a 9volt battery will operate the lights for long? If it does it wouldn't last long with filament lamps drawing current from the battery.
If you have a new spare PP3 battery try it! Just ensure the polarity is correct on item 19 the PCBs input and that the resistor item 23 is in line too.
