New Layout in the making

#1

Post by Zeno »

I have recently just moved in to a new house and was finally have a spare room for a model layout
Problem is I don’t know if I can fit a decent o gauge 2 rail layout in a 3.2 x 3.6 x 2 meter room

Any suggestions for a track plan would be appreciated. I don’t have anything specific in mind so all ideas are welcome 🙂

I have mine around the walls of an 8x8ft room. A circuit, loco shed and goods yard.

I don’t have a proper plan, I don’t work that way, but here is a sketch. Hope it helps.

That layout is brilliant
Exactly something that would fit my area with a slight modification
I will just need to add a 2 more curves as I have some wardrobes
And to allow them and the door to open

Should be able to add some more track as well as the room is
Around 11-12 feet

Cheers mate

It doesn’t have much straight track on the circuit. I used setrack curves where they fitted and the rest is flexi. I can only run 0-6-0/0-4-0 sized locos and good wagons. No coaches.

Wow, that is great. I thought your last layout was pretty good but this one is fabulous. You have moved on very quickly with this and it is amazing. I wish I had your skill. R-

Not so much skill Roger. Trouble is the lockdown gave me too much time to work on it.
