Montfort's Bridge
Montfort's Bridge
Hello Happy Modellers,
After reading and rereading this excellent website, I found this small shunting layout (00 gauge): Barber's Bridge. The scenic section of this layout measures only 22" x 8", with an additional 14" of hidden track. First thing first, I drew the track plan but I am not satisfied with the result. All your comments and advices will be very appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Montfort's Bridge
Where you are showing a ST241 on the left I think it should be a small Y point ST247. That would enable you to straighten out the approach and get you a better angle into the sidings. The top one particularly. R-
Young at heart. Slightly older in other parts.

Looks a bit closer to the required angles to me. R-

Re: Montfort's Bridge
This is how I have envisaged it - one as close to the original as I can, the other with both sidings straight out at the top right. The left hand (yellow) area is guesswork. R-
Original ?

Re: Montfort's Bridge
They were £18 or £18.50 the last time I bought one...
A sector plate should be easy enough. It is basically a piece of track on a thin board that is pivoted.
