Is the NCE Powercab underpriced?
Is the NCE Powercab underpriced?
I keep looking out for a bargain on eBay, but secondhand Powercabs seem to sell for as much as new ones!

Well that is disappointing!
Even worse I have just seen a complete set sold in January for £40!

You need to be alert with ebay. Just to rub salt in the wound the £60 one was from just down the road from you.
Re: Is the NCE Powercab underpriced?
Thank you for that!
A lot of the cheaper ones are usually from the US, so you have to add £15+ carriage plus duty.
Good to see though that there are some innocents out there who don’t know what they are worth.

Things are worth what you can get for them when you sell them. I’d rather some idiot gave me £500 for something worth £50.

Slightly worrying that so many are available 2nd hand given the popularity of them on this forum. Are folk changing it for a different DCC system. going back to DC or leaving the hobby altogether one wonders?
Most people are shocked when they find out how bad I am as an electrician

I don’t think we will ever know the answer to that one TWD.
The NCE is always the one recommended, and I picked one up at the end of last year for a reasonable price on eBay. It works perfectly well but in my opinion it is not as intuitive as my old Prodigy and I don’t find the buttons are placed in a logical position. The result is that I, personally, find it a little more ‘awkward’ to use.
