Being in lockdown once again in Cyprus
Gives me the opportunity to build a fun little layout which will keep me busy
Baseboards (two foam pieces 125cm by 60cm )have been painted
Once tried track and ballast will be added
First ever model layout so low expectations for this one xd
Attached you can also see the type of colours I’m going to be using for the grass and ballast
Any advice or helpful suggestions would be lovely

I'm not known for my advice or helpful suggestions but have to say that is a beautiful looking locomotive.

The loco really is a true beauty I think I did good on that
Since everyone loves it, here’s a photo of it on the freshly glued down track with my first tree I made as practice

Compared to the rubbish I churn out, I'd say that looks pretty good!!

Being a newbie to layout making, when I made my first ballast I used kitty litter
Believing the kind I got would not clump up and rise
Well I was wrong and had about two hours of making ballast wasted
Thankfully there was some road construction done here recently and they had a lot of left over gravel
Got a bucket or two and got down to sifting
Here’s the result of it
Currently waiting for pva glue to dry
Learning along the way

Looks really great.
Get a further 30 or so bucket fulls and you can sell the stuff!

It be great to do that
But this weighs way to much to ship to UK
Would be great but no one in Cyprus had an interest in modelling sadly
