Can anyone help me to identify a painting? I think its by a famous artist, but after looking at lots of images online
i am still unable to find out the title of the painting or the artist! The only image i could find was this one on ebay
a while ago but no title.
thanks

Most of the top railway artists paint very detailed pictures, this one isn’t one of those so can’t really help sorry. Somebody will now prove me wrong.

Have you tried a reverse identify image app? Google offer one. R-

Worth a go. Aimed mainly at photos but I have used one [not Google - which is free] for paintings. It’s not going to be 100% successful I’m afraid, especially for non curated images, but as other avenues have not been fruitful......

Have you tried the Guild of Railway Artists ?
Their website has examples of many artist's work but if not shown they may Know.
Hope this helps.

Yes the postcard is from Dixons collection but he didn’t paint it. He specialised in selling posters and postcards.
