Hi there I wanted to test my electrical points prior to setting them on my board. The points have two blue cables and one yellow one could someone please tell me a simple way of how i can just test to ensure they work? Many thanks

Wow Z scale! I have always wanted to try that. I got very close when I almost spent my bonus on a Z scale set.
Aaanyway, if I understand ‘European’ two wire points correctly. You briefly make an electrical connection and the point switches. If you make the same connection again the point switches the other way.

They’re 3 wire darkscot. It says 2 blue 1 yellow. My guess is yellow common return. So momentarily touch of power to yellow and one blue points change one way. Yellow and other blue points change the other way.

As it has three wires, I suspect the two blue wires are the operation feeds and the yellow wire is the return.
By momentary applying power to one of the Blue wires and the yellow connecting to the return of the supply, it should drive one way. Then momentarily applying power to the other Blue it should drive the other way
But that is guessing based on standard solinoid wiring and operation.
We really need more details - Make of point and motor. Voltage and type of power needed AC or DC Once the make is known that should help with V and power type

very challenging, laying z gauge track. i use flexi, and drill 2 holes in Baseboard sleeper width, and use twisted wire to secure. Works for me .

I stand corrected again! I always thought Marklin used the two wire system like Kato due to the small size.

I wouldn’t even be able to find Z scale if I had it.
