Hey everyone, posted this in my layout section this morning and thought it might be better suited to here. It's a video on how I built my baseboards ...

Always welcome feedback/discussion on these things.

A nice job and self supporting as well. Nice touch to have Brian’s book in shot :D . More importantly how did you get domestic management to hoover up after you? :D

I am a bit puzzled by your use of the L-girder approach as this is more common for open framework type layouts where there is a lot of variation in track heights where the T uprights are used to support only the ply/MDF under the tracks or buildings with the spaces in between where scenery will go being left open and materials like chicken mesh used to support the scenery. I appreciate you have track on two levels but there does not seem to be a connection between them hence standard baseboard construction would have sufficed and probably would have saved you some material.

Anyway it is done now and it does give you options if you decide to change the layout in the future, looking forward to further updates. Well done!

Thanks Richard. Good observation of the book, I probably haven't taken advantage of the construction method as much as I might have but as nothing has been fixed on the lower level I still have options! I just like this method and at the time it was in the middle of lockdown one so my brain was probably a bit too fried to be conceptualising that sort of thing and it has just stayed this way.
