If anyone is thinking of buying/replacing their extending ladders I can highly recommend Titan Ladders, Cleveland, Bristol.

I spoke to them on Tuesday morning at about 11.30am to clarify something. Placed my order online at 11.45am - order confirmed at 12.04pm.
Ladders delivered at 9.30am this morning. That is a brilliant service.

Clarification point: Why was ladder with a stabiliser bar cheaper than the same ladder without? Regulations now say all ladders should come with stabiliser bar - if you want one without it is a special order.

Ladders ordered were from the "Competitor Range" - Domestic/DIY - not for window cleaners and builders. Cost was £151 for a 2-section (2x12feet) and it was free delivery - they deliver themselves -no outside courier services.

My ladders (three part) have a stabiliser bar - gives much better sense of security and confidence at heights.

thats great service. I have 3 double ladders, kinda old, before stable came out. I have 4 adjustable stables which can be attached with legs to help.

Hi John
I was just finding the old wooden ladder (alloy rungs) too heavy to lug around. Barry

My ladders are fine, it's me that needs the stabiliser bar :D

Thanks for the information.

I used to have to spend some time up a ladder before I got my ‘sea legs’ for working at height again.
Nowadays SWMBO has banned me from altitudes above floor level, so I have to call for big son to do the climbing.

Barry, Hi, my dad worked for Post Office telephones. Drove little green van with ladders on roof. Very heavy wooden ones. When we painted our house, i had to crouch on the bottom, while he lifted it. Very frightening, as a lad.

I used have to carry those GPO ladders vertically and I was only a little weak apprentice.
