Welcome to the forum - lots of help, information and fun. If you go back to Board Index and scroll down to the sub-heading "Scenery" - someone asked this question recently and there are a number of answers.

Welcome to the forum we look forward to reading more of your progress.
Pre coat with dilute PVA used as a sealant or a coat of white emulsion paint to seal the whole surface of the backscene board(s) onto which the photo scene is to be bonded. Allow sealant to fully dry before attempting to fix the backscene firmly to the backboard. I would use something like Ply, MDF or Hardboard.
