Yes. I’ve had mine ages and just switched it on to listen. I’ve never noticed it before. You won’t here it once you run trains.

Oh you can hear it when running trains wont say it is to loud but never experienced it on Hornby R9900 or. R902.
Wondered if it was faulty Rang Gaugemaster they said its the transformer Vibrating should be ok unless it gets any louder

Low tech approach - thump it. I have the same issue with DIY construction of a pair of transformers in a metal case that sometime buzz loudly but once whacked are nice are and quite.

Nothing beats a good thump. What is it standing on. That can make a difference.

Sorry for any confusion on the location of this post.

Now moved to the dc section instead of the DCC section that I originally moved it to. Still getting used to the moderator and administrator controls of this new forum.

Hi
The Buzzing noise is nothing to worry about. Its caused by the lamination's of the isolating transformers 'rattling' at mains frequency of 50Hz in the UK.While annoying its is not anything to be concerned about.
It's actually caused by by poor assembly/construction of the mains transformers. But while annoying, it is not in any way dangerous or a safety issue.
If the buzzing is exceptionally loud contact Gaugemaster and ask for the controller to be replaced. (At their cost).
