hi, i have an american kato/alco diesel with knuckle couplings. because i have just bought a huge amount of wagons and now realised they are all fitted with rapido couplings i want to change the couplings on the loco to rapido type. i have searched the web etc but only find info on going the other way. i saw on peters spares a Peco 30022 Collett Loco Front Coupling N Gauge. do you think this would work or any other solutions would be welcome..
once again thanks in advance.

It probably would be best to put together one or two Kato/Rapido coupler adapter cars with a coupler of each type on either end, rather than try to find a Rapido style coupler that would properly fit your loco. I would also suggest contacting Kato to determine if a Rapido style coupler that would fit that loco even exists, since Kato still uses that type of coupler on many of their Japanese profile models. Good luck!
