Stormy Weather

Had to get my ladder out in the middle of storm Eunice to put a screw in my conservatory roof to make sure one of the plastic roof panels didn't blow away. Now there's another panel that's looking a bit dodgy. It will be ok until the wind drops though. Also, back garden fence on one side is flapping about.

If the storm hasn't reached you yet, get ready and i hope you don't suffer any damage.

PS. Put something heavy on you wheelie bin lids to stop them blowing open if they are exposed.

We’ve had a stiff breeze - is it counted as a storm?

we appear to be sharing your weather. Have a mature walnut tree, now at 45 degrees. Hoping for a change of wind direction, to straighten it up. Would be a great loss, as gives bucket of walnuts, every year, and was planted as seedling 18 years ago. We collected them from campsite in anney, planted 10, and got 5 little trees.

Just flown in over the O2, damage looks ok from this side.

We survived Dudley and Eunice despite a rickety old fence that has been promising to come down for some time. We are in a fairly deep sided valley and the hillside behind the bungalow shelters us from the prevailing weather. We could hear Eunice howling high above but at ground level just a bit blustery.

We now have steady snowfall with a good 2” - 3” fallen in the last couple of hours and it is forecasted to continue until this evening. At this rate I might end up giving the snow blower its first run out.

Thankfully we survived Dudley and Eunice with the only damage being a plastic cold-frame which became detached from the rear of the house and blown round the corner.
