Good afternoon from London

Good afternoon - I am a new member of this forum from the London area. Like many, I had a train set as a child (starting with a Hornby train set for my 3rd birthday and expanding from there), but drifted away from the hobby in early adulthood. I returned to the hobby in 2018, and had a shed built in my garden for the purposes of building some model railways in it. I have been building a modern(ish) image N gauge layout in it ever since, and mostly posting about that on dedicated forums for N gauge and modern traction, but I have always planned to have an 00 gauge layout set in the 1930s in the same shed, which I am hoping to start in the next year or so. I have a particular interest in operations and automation, and plan to automate all of the layouts that I am building in my shed.

Thank you! And there's much to be said for friendly forums - they are the best sort of forums, I think.
