#1

Post by wattalan »

hello all
i have a tamvalley dual frog juicer and im told by the manufacturer that it can be used as a circut breaker

how do you make it a circuit breaker
i have the jumper on the pins marked cb and wires from the command station to DCC IN
i have one green led lit no jumper across pair outputs
i have one green led lit up

where do i put the wires from the track to make it a circuit breaker when there is only one wire from the frog
if some one could draw me a diagram to show how its done please
any help please its doing my head in lol

Hi
For others reading this post... The Dual frog juicer is the one that's produced to allow it to act as a CB. So, connect the DCC from the Bus pair or output from the DCC system to the Input pair of terminals and then the two Frog output terminals connect to the DCC bus pair that's to be feed and protected by the CB and which of course are separate from the input pair. Ensure the pair of pins are linked that are marked CB. Set the trip current to 2 or 4 Amps to suit your system.

that's the way I thought it worked but it does not.
i only have power out of one of the terminals marked frog with the green led

i have two wires from the command station to DCC IN which give me a green led so i know it has power

that leaves to two frog connections only one of them is live which is the one with the green led

i need two wires to go to the track = i have one wire from the track to the green led marked frog
where do i put the other wire from the track as the other connection marked frog is dead

Both track wires leading to the rails or DCC bus go one on each on the two Frog terminals. But if its burnt out then you need to get it replaced if its new. :(
