Just come across a couple of photos of the old Stourbridge round house full of Panniers. Thought they might be of interest. I’ve also add a couple of photos of my old train spotting station, used to beg ride on the odd occasion through the tunnel from Old Hill to Halesowen that made a little boy trainspotters day. Happy days

Great pictures. It is interesting in the first picture that the loco number is painted on and not a number plate. Must have been close to withdrawal.

After about forty years after photo was taken I move to Shrewsbury and joined a Crown green bowling club and one of the older members was a train driver who I got chatting to and he said before he moved to Shrewsbury he was at Stourbridge shed and used to drive through the tunnel into Halesowen and would on occasions give train spotters a little trip, what a coincidence I always like to think it was Jack who made my day, and yes he’s still with us and bowling into his 90s a real gentleman.

Some may favour a ‘plague’ of panniers, but I quite like a ‘Clattering’ of panniers.
