What a pain this is!!! I have been waiting for a parcel to arrive and now it seems we are to face a 48hr strike.

Hope it isn’t something that you urgently need.

A pain indeed! Just ordered some stuff from Railsofsheffield. Asked if it would be dispatched today or tomorrow and told Friday! Good job I'm not in a hurry LOL

Do they give you a choice of a different courier? Some do. DPD are excellent in this part of the world.

I didn't ask Brian. Like I said I'm in no hurry. It seems nearly all retailers are awaiting stock from Peco, at least for 009 items.

I usually stick with Royal Mail. Can’t really think of anything I need mail order that is urgent. :D

can't do anything about it, even as it can be most annoying / unacceptable / frustrating

ensure you know the service your retail outlet has used including tracking id's, and it if does not add up give the retailer grief as they are responsible to ensure you receive your items.

I can’t quite fathom why, when there have only been six strike days in the whole of December (two in the last week), my post is at least two weeks late.
Three Christmas cards arrived this morning!
Meanwhile, a little something I ordered from the TMC Boxing Day sale was posted yesterday and will arrive within the next two hours.

When I went to our local post office just before Christmas on a strike day they had a mountain of mail sacks, never seen so many and the post box outside was sealed because it was full.

I ordered one or two things on Boxing day and they arrived yesterday DPD and EVRI.
