I’m in the process of fitting lights onto my dummy Hornby 125 unit and am totally stuck…
I’m using a Gaugemaster ruby DCC decoder and have it wired up as follows, black and red onto the track, yellow and white to the forward/reverse lights and blue as the common +. I’m using a black cat led unit which I have in the power unit and works perfectly.
First issue I had which I’ve solved was the Digitrax controller wouldn’t see the decoder. This was solved by temporally wiring up a motor to the orange and grey to create the resistance needed.
I’ve programmed the dummy unit with the same number as the motor unit (0125) but when I place it on the track nothing happens.
Any ideas?

Re: Lights on a dummy unit
Have you programmed the decoder to accept a 4 digit address?
Sorry I'm late but I couldn't get my flip-flops to work
Re: Lights on a dummy unit
Some controllers don't work well with addresses between 99 & 128. Basically they can't decide if it's a 2 or 4 digit address.
Try it with a higher or lower address just to see what happens.

Re: Lights on a dummy unit
Your idea worked!
I changed it for a 2 digit address (25) and it instantly fired up. I’ve now changed the address in the power unit and have the white and red lights both ends.
Looks really good, thank you so much as I would have never figured that out by myself
