Station Information Display (Work in progress)

I thought I would share my latest "I wonder if I can make this work" project - I must stress that this is very much work in progress and I have seen other projects where this has been done but I wanted to do it with components I had laying around on my desktop.
So to summarise this a departure board which (as configured) shows the next train departure from Taunton to London. This is a dynamic display which is pulling the data from Real Time Trains using their API. In my case I am calling the API from my home automation platform (Homeassistant) which is running on a raspberry PI4 (bought in the days when Raspberry PI 4s were affordable
So if anyone is interested in more detail please feel free to add to this post.

Looks really good. Made from bits you had laying around on your desktop! Must be an Aladdin's cave of a desktop

Lol Mr Bones
At the moment my desktop also doubles as my office desk from when I am working from home and my workbench when dabbling in hobbies.
If it wasn't so untidy I would post a photo but current "interesting items" include two Arduino Unos and an Arduino Mega whilst I build myself a DCC controller and signaling systems. The irony is I don't have any track laid yet but am doing my research because I want to understand this stuff so I have half a chance of getting it "sort of right" before I start laying track.
I blame Rob from "little wicket railway" on YouTube for sparking my interest in the electrical side (pun intended!)

You have to select notifications if you want them. When you post a something there is an options menu at the bottom where you can select notify me etc. I think. I’ve never used it.

Hmm…, I’ve never used it but have set it up now. If you respond to this we will see what happens. Might be a big spanner is needed
