What is the best height and size pins to use on N gauge peco flexi track

Peco SL-14. Very thin, very sharp but you will need to predrill the sleepers and the baseboards. If using baseboard tops less than 12mm thick, the pins may protrude through the board but realistically I don’t think there is anything thinner to suit N gauge on the market.
