Hi Eveyone
i have been on here before etc etc

Anyway

Earlier this week i went to RAF Coningsby with a friend and his Brother in law ,

i did the tour of the BBMF ,i had never seen a Spitfire ,Hurricane or Lancaster close up before and i found the tour very interesting

also saw the Typhoon in action in the new livery .

last time i saw a fighter aircraft that close was at RAF Finningley in the late 70`s

so my bucket list now is to see the BBMF when their on display and The Flying Scotman in steam

Worth becoming a member of the BBMF. Went to their members day last year, amazing.

Guy stood next to me and asked what I thought about the day so far, turned out he was the Lanc copilot.

I went round there with our ex-apprentice group many years ago. Great place. It took me back to when I was working on piston engined aircraft; they have a different smell to jets, much like very old cars have a smell of their own.
