Hi, I am new too DCC and have a problem running my Accurascale Class 37 Loco. I use the NCE Power Cab as DCC control.
My problem is that the Class37 only runs at a fairly slow speed, where as my other DCC loco's will fly around my layout.
How do I increase the loco speed to run a lot faster than it does at present using the Power Cab ?

THERE WAS AN ERROR IN TEXT BELOW - NOW CORRECTED Sorry for any confusion

Hi
Using your PowerCab to read CVs ideally on the Programming track, read what numerical value setting has been placed into CV5. It needs to be set to the highest possible value (number). The value maximum will depend on the make of decoder in the loco. I would be looking for something in the range of either 127 or 255. Note CV5 is the top speed setting for all DCC decoders. Reducing the CV5 value number will result in the loco not running as fast at maximum speed setting on the throttle.

Next, set CV6 to approx. 50% of what was entered into CV5 value. CV6 is the middle of range speed setting.
This is explained in the PowerCab manual page Nos 41 & 42. Plus 59 to 52.

This is the basic generic CV numbering and what each does within the decoder for DCC decoders

To explain that in text form is a lot of work, get your manual out, sit down and read it, as saying goes if all else fails READ THE INSTRUCTIONs, if you dont have one, they can be found online.
