I pulled these off a now defunct layout, they are Faller. My question is do these two portable trailer shops have any place in Britain in your recollection? Continental rolling stock finds its way onto Henley, because they look British to the untrained eye, but I want to keep it recognizably as Britain as much as practical. Should I re-arrange them, bin them, or none of the above? Thank you in advance for your guidance.

These days here in the U.K. there are more and more 'German/European Market Weekends' and are popular.

Depending on your timeframe the earlier it is the less chance they would be seen. There again there is Rule 1.

Although the signage would be European the names of the food and prices are in English.

I like the idea of a 'Market Weekend'. I love the 'something different on a layout' look.

Thank you for that, will plan accordingly. I exercise Rule 1 with liberality, but I don't want to create something so jarring as to ruin the entire British theme. For example, a pagoda or palm trees would be problematic, whereas a medieval castle in downtown Henley is less so. Two of my favorite installations are the Roman mosaic floor and the White Horse of Uffington. Medieval knights and support staff are worked in under the guise of re-enactment.
