Apparently he has a 100' layout in his loft (in his mansion it has to be said). Photo and story in Mail Online. R-

I was at the Ally Pally show one year and a bloke asked if I’d reach up and get him a bag of trees, which I did. He went and paid as I was still perusing the stand then he walked away. I looked up and thought sod it that was Jools Holland, I should have taken more notice and had a chat with him.
Think I might buy the magazine and have alook.

I’ve bumped in to him a couple of times in the local modelshop. (I know, I should have looked were I was going).
He lives about two miles from me.

I browsed Railway Modeller when I bought Hornby Magazine today, and resisted buying it. It is a "big" layout.

I liked that vignette of the house with him coming out the gate. Nice layout and looks like just the thing to sit and watch trains go by.

The model makers who produced the buildings made a brilliant job of each model, especially the churches.

I agree - the bomb damaged one is particularly good, if just a little "clean", but much better than I could produce. R-
