Just a quick recap of the small progress shown on the old board.

00 gauge, DC operation, double Inglenook, wire in tube point control, ideally set in north east (subject to change) modernish time period, all done on the cheap.

Yellow box on the SCARM diagram will house the DC controller, point control and isolating switches.

Red box is possible a disused platform/loading bay.

Last pic for now, with the track in sort of the correct orientation.

I have recently also learnt how to straighten piano wire, and built a small test rig for point in tube, with the PTFE that has arrived, it is time to finalise things, and start digging out the cork.

Last of the point control is on order, time to start in earnest. the clocks going back will mean more time to do railway related stuff with the darker nights.

I am also researching how to mount 8 panel mounted switches to operate my points.

The control box, (big yellow thing) is hopefully going to be disguised as a building of some sort.

You may have to make a little control box panel for the switches. Its all part of the fun!

That looks like the plan, and fits with my mantra of how cheap can I do it.

Will watch with interest your ' wire in tube ' construction as that is my intended route.
Good luck!

Thanks, when I know what I am doing, I'll try and make it so people can learn from all of my mistakes.
