Loco decals

#1

Post by platelayer »

Hi, can anyone tell me where I can get some O gauge Gwr style buffer beam numbers?. I don't really want to buy a whole sheet to remember one loco, quoted £21 . I just need to change the last two numbers front and back! Are there any companies that make custom decals? Any info welcome, thanks.

Fox transfers in 4mm will do numbers for some engines seperately if modelling classes. Dont know if this is still cureent but maybe worth asking if they could do the same for a 7mm loco?

Just read an interesting article in the Spring issue of BRM regards printing decals in white. A German company called Ghost has developed a replacement white toner cartridge for a number of Laser printers which replaces the black toner anything that is normally printed black comes out white. The company also supplies the water slide foils. No idea on costs, could be expensive if you do not already own one of the printers they supply cartridges for. If it can print on normal acetate sheets should also make producing white window frames a doddle.
