Hi guys,

I have a HM2000 and it is failing.
It seems to have lost power.
It powers a small Thomas train slowely when on full power the in stops half way round a very small loop track.
When the train is placed in the track the green power light goes from bright green to a very dull green.
Any advice or is it dead?

Thank you

This may be of interest...

Please note I am presently moving my website between interweb locations and the hyperlinks are all over the place, so do not rely on being able to navigate betwixt my site pages reliably for now.

Edit - apologies for the page errors on my site but I have just moved servers due to a move from Cyprus to UK and things are slightly akimbo at present.

Hi
If you're sure its the HM2000 causing the problem (If possible test loco/track with another controller or use a new PP3 battery across the rails) then I would highly recommend returning it to Hornby service dept. You will need to contact Hornby first to obtain a repair/returns authorisation number, then send it to them.

From the Hornby web site....

Repairs
We offer a repairs service for certain Hornby and Scalextric products. Please call Customer Services on 01843 233525 or email customerservices.uk@hornby.com for advice and pricing details.

If Customer Services confirm that your item is suitable for repair, it should be sent to:

An H&M2000 is Hammant and Morgan - did Hornby take them over at some point?
