Having started my OO end to end layout earlier this year I thought I had better start letting you all see what I was doing. At present I have the track down and the wiring all done (with a considerable amount of help) for block detection and operation via Train Controller. I have a slight issue with the servo motors for the points in that the system I used to mount them under the board seems to flex, so I have invested in another system, which you can see in one of the images below.
The above shows my "work in progress" baseboard - started in April but took time out for family, heatwave and two holidays.
Schematic of layout. The grey area is a high level road which when over the single track will drop down to the station and goods shed. There is a 3D version of this on Flickr if you care to whizz over there.
These are the new 3mm laser cut servo mounts for the point motors.

Looking good Roger - seems some time since you bought the boards - but as you said family, holidays and heatwave.

That looks a nice layout you've got coming along there, Roger. But tell us, please, why is the first photo private (so says flickr)?
Cheers,
Artur

I have no idea. I didn't do anything different honest Guv, perhaps fat finger syndrome. I have now changed it to public. R-

Where did you get those servo mounts Roger?

Thanks Roger. I am concerned that the way the photos depict its use make it look like there may be some vertical movement of the actuating rod as well as the desired side to side movement possibly leaving the end too high? I've been searching unsuccessfully to find a general purpose mount for these cheap mini servos.

There is absolutely no vertical movement. You use the silver screws that the motors come with to attach the motor to the mount. I will try to take another photo later to show you. R-
EDIT: Actually I’ve just realised you can see one of the screws at the top edge of the motor - there is another the other end, below the blue label. Absolutely no chance of vertical movement. Motor in the image is upside down to how it will be fitted on the board.

Thanks again. I'll maybe get a couple and experiment.

Rog, are you going to disguise your drill, into a clever piece of landscape, like the famous TV shoe.
