Experiences with Peco Streamline PL-11 point motors.

I recently finished installing the point motors on my so-called northern sidings. When testing them, I found that the pushrod of the motor would sometimes jump off the stud at the end of the tiebar. I also found the locating strips a bit wobbly, such that I had to pin the motor down. The work is documented more fully on flickr (pix 312-6): https://www.flickr.com/photos/53775591@ ... 3524354145

I would be interested to hear of other members' experiences with these motors.

Cheers,
Artur

Although they are very forgiving in the angle of attachment I believe it is suggested that they are fitted to the straight side of the point. As you show them is how I had to do mine on a double slip (no straight sides) and provided they are pinned down they worked perfectly - until they burned out. That saga is documented elsewhere.

I found the supplied baseplate made the motor sit too high.
