Have at last made start on the New Layout. Here are some pictures of the slow progress. Had bit of setback after Christmas because hurt my shoulder and it was very painful so had break from making anything.
Have got most of the base units in place now and levelled. Now have to alter the old baseboards to fit. One problem is having to accommodate all the Railway stock while building the Baseboards. Have to move everything all the time. Never mind will get there in the end.

I only have small room which give me 6ft 2" one end and 6ft4"the other wide, and 9ft 4" long .
As the boards have been used before I have I went over them with filler and sanded over the surface then gave it coat of old brown emulsion had laying around. They look nice and smooth again. There are doors for the cupboards to tidy it up.

Keep worrying that Heather might want to start playing Table Tennis again. As my layout now occupies the table, i would be in Dickies Meadow. I simply added my baseboard on top, with no permission to drill any holes in table

Last night I was putting the doors on the cupboards and one of them when unpacked was damaged. As I bought them back in December 5th Using home delivery from B&Q I though they would say I should have checked them when I received them or with in a set time, but no, they are sending out another door by van to exchange it............. Well I Must say, that is very good service. One up for B&Q , well done...........John

Nice to hear. Had a similar thing with Wickes a couple of years ago. Had two palettes of slabs delivered. Months later I found one palette was a slab short. Rang them and they delivered a single slab. I could have fetched one locally but they wouldn’t let me.
