Hornby Visitor Centre

Post by Steve M »

Hornby occasionally hold events like this - missed the last one but I should be able to get to this one.
They also announced recently that the HVC is closed for museum refurbishment in early March - just speculating, but it may also be the first step towards opening up the loco storage area (Bittern etc) to the public.

I wouldn’t mind going but it’s the wrong side of London. One day perhaps. Thanks Steve.

Thanks for the heads up. I assume this is similar to the warehouse sales they used to have or not?
My birthday weekend - now there's a treat for myself :D

I presume so. Unfortunately the place will be full of ‘dealers’ buying in bulk before listing it all on eBay at inflated prices. (Those are the ‘sharks’ Footplate sometimes mentions. :D ).
Still some bargains to be had though.
