Ships are another hobby of mine.
Three Queen's leaving Southampton. Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria ad Queen Mary 2. We were on Queen Victoria.

British India Steam Navigation Co. ship 'Uganda' was my first ship I travelled on a cruise. Well before the Falklands Campaign.

Ah that first picture is more like it. Used to love going to see the Liners at Southampton. The Queens, United States etc.

Hi Glencairn
I've photographed most of the current cruise ships in Southampton. I normally go to the Dock Head or over to the other side of the water at Hythe or Calshot. It helps working in Traffic Management/Security in the dock for the last 4+ years
From 1965 to 1970 I used to travel the Eastern and Western Docks (on foot or bike) daily while working for a cargo agent.
Next time you come through here don't give the traffic guy at the berth a hard time, it could be me!!

Maybe not like the old days, WTD, but that's what they are like now.
Here is a picture (from a postcard) of the ship that started me off on a journey of 55 cruises.
British India S. N. Co. 'Uganda'.

Maybe you like something smaller? In Panama City.

Is that the ship known as "SS Uganda?"
