‘Watching trains run and do a bit of shunting’ - it’s very enjoyable.
As to sticking to an era, like WTD I failed miserably, no willpower to keep my hands in my pockets, I’ve got a right mish-mash. In any case does not rule 1 apply?

I wasn’t happy using cobble sets for footpaths, they didn’t look right, and the path was too narrow, so up it all came. I’ve now used ‘proper’ paving for the footpaths and the cobbles for the roadway. Happier now, but I need some more front door steps or there’ll be one or two broken ankles :lol: ht...

Had a good day out at the Doncaster exhibition on Sunday, it certainly increases your mojo. Managed to pick up some ‘clutter’ for the fish and goods sheds. But before I went I couldn’t resist this beauty; DCC fitted, TMC weathered and at a snip of a price. Just need to fit a crew and re-coal the ten...
