Re: Why don't they make ... ?
https://i.postimg.cc/hJx4F3Kq/london-underground-construc.png It all depends which parts (and eras) of the network you want to represent. There is some spectacular civil engineering on the network and the complexities of some stations is staggering. As for the deep tube lines, I'm sure one could fi...

Re: Why don't they make ... ?
I'm thinking of modelling a London station at some point in the future and thought of stations that have a mixture of BR and LUL services. I'm surprised how few models of underground rolling stock there is. Is this not an area that people like to model?

I'm in the process of converting my layout to DCC. I'm getting on well with programming and running my locos but I'm struggling with stationary decoders. I've fitted a pair of Gaugemaster DCC30 decoders and have Seep PM1 motors fitted to Peco Setrack points. The problem is that the motors work fine ...

Multi pin connector plugs
I'm designing a mimic panel for my layout. I'd like to produce a panel that is mounted in its own box and can be disconnected from the layout. I'm looking at multi-pin connector plugs like DIN and Sub D but I'm not sure about how much power these little connectors can handle. What sort of things hav...

Carnforth Station
Whilst browsing through some prototype station plans the other day, I wondered if anyone had attempted modelling Carnforth station, as used in the film Brief Encounter. I couldn't find any evidence online, although it does look like an interesting area to model, with three separate rail companies op...

Coal yard sidings
https://i.postimg.cc/Jy4LWQn6/post-9223-0-42190200-1348866495.jpg I'm building a layout based on Derby Road, Ipswich around 1959. The layout will include the coal yard that was supplied by the line at the time. There's nothing left of the original yard to give me any idea of how it looked, but I ha...
