Coals to New Castle

Tried a few experimental things: giving motion to static props with
sequential photography, and trying to insert the Pathe logo into the
opener, in the manner of the earlier age of cinema, but it got lost
into the mix, and fixing it would require erasing the entire project
and doing it over again. Better luck next time. Also attempted a
few short shunting maneuvers to give it more interest.

The typical problem is the blurring that occurs when filming
up close. To mitigate this annoyance, a little, stills were inserted
to give a frame of reference.

Nice one Chops. Are your train "stop and let pass" maneuvers automatically controlled or manual?

I enjoyed it as well. I think your choice of accompanying music sets the scene very much :) .

Thank you for the kind words, I particularly enjoy this facet of the hobby. As to the stopping at crossings, it is entirely manual,
with the idea if another operator joins me, trains can be run per schedule on a fast clock, with each train having to take its
priority at the crossing, whilst still trying to maintain schedule without blowing the speed limit. Every now and then, I goof:

Fortunately, the buffer bars prevent damage, and am loathe to bump my trains around, but it does happen if I fail to pay
close attention. I toy with the idea of adding in DCC to create more traffic, but my experience with it is that it can be
hit or miss, electrically, and am not so sure I want to add more fiddly bits to maintain.
