Solder

#1

Post by Tri »

Apologies for such a simple question, but I have searched old posts and can't find an answer.

Where in the U K do you guys get 60/40 tin/lead rosin core fluxed solder, assuming that's the right one?

I can only find lead free for non trades people. Really keen to teach myself to solder as only used mechanical joints up until now.

If you are wary of eBay then CPC Farnell and Rapid Online stock leaded solders although minimum orders might apply to avoid P&P costs.

Thank you all. Always forget ebay as haven't bought there for years. Ordered some today.

Bitsbox looks good as well, will give them a go soon.

I did notice Rapid wouldn't sell to a non credit account.

Thanks again.
