Hi there.
I want to use LEDs on my mimic board to indicate the route set on a crossover between two tracks; either on the parallel tracks or on the crossover from one track to the other. I’m using two cobalt ip analogue motors with one spdt switch. I haven’t seen any wiring diagrams anywhere so help would be appreciated.

Thanks, I know about this but I’m using spdt levers, not Cobalt S which I have elsewhere on the layout.

When I did my mimic board for a couple of doubleslip crossings, using bi-colour LEDs and the built in switches on my Seep point motors, I found this worked for me.
I started off by pre-wiring the LEDs with their resistors included - used a red wire for the red led feed and green for the green led feed, black for common.
I then connected wires from the PMs to a chocblock and connected all the common wires to the power supply leaving just the red/green wires hanging free.
I then set the slip to a particular route so the first LED would be green and touched its feed wire to the switch outputs to establish which one was live and screwed it to the connector.
Switch the point blades and repeat with the red wire before doing the same with each route.
Worked for me.

As you're using the Analogue IP motor, these have two set of contacts.
If you're not using one set for frog polarity switching then on No 2 Cobalt use two set of contacts and on No1 Cobalt just the one set for LED indications..

Thanks, that’s very helpful. But do I take it that the blue wire with switch is wired into the terminals 7&9 on motor no 2?

Hi
Yes, the second contacts shown as "Cobalt 2" terminals "7 & 9" is the second set of contacts to be used on No 2 motor. This arrangement allows the cross-over LED shown as No 3 only to illuminate when both motors have travelled to the crossover direction. If one motor doesn't make to the cross-over position then LED 3 will not illuminate.
