Re: Back problem
I’ve been scratching about in the loft today looking for a box for a lens. No luck, I’ll have to start shifting things. My old layout boards are still in situ, didn’t think I’d be crawling about under them again.

What camera did you buy Brian. I have an Olympus SLR, with compact flash cards, which are now starting to play up. Heather has a Nikon cool pix, which takes the SDCards. Don’t know if it’s a camera prob, with SLR. Over here, it’s easier to find Hens Teeth, than a camera shop.. My back has become a prob, and physio is manipulating it. He has a Water massage bed for next week. It’s very hard, when your back plays up, as the simplest thing like lifting a Watering Can, starts a twinge.

Re: Back problem
Just looked up your camera WTD as I had no idea what a bridge camera was and that type of camera and model gets a very good write up. That combination of auto/manual function looks to be a good choice for the budding photographer. I can feel a competition coming on with PP. Keep it out of the rain though. R-
Young at heart. Slightly older in other parts.

Re: Back problem
It’s in between and SLR and and a compact camera. Looks like a DSLR but has built in lens that covers most needs. 24 x zoom plus macro. Has a Leica lens. Not heavy.

Re: Back problem
Sounds ideal compromise. I like my SLR, but very heavy, even without extra lenses. This coolpix, Heather found is perfect for her pocket.

What is your plan B Eagle?
Most people are shocked when they find out how bad I am as an electrician
Re: Back problem
i would be interested in a plan B. The day will come for me when its a Stair lift, or move layout to my workshop, or a garage. Problem for me is my Table Tennis Table, on which layout built, will not go down the stairs. When it came into the house, it was through an old door which opened out to the garden. That has long gone, and with new frame and small DG door, no chance.
