Re: Back problem
My plan B was to build a layout in a spare bedroom instead of the loft. My son had hardly closed the front door when I started laying the baseboard in his ex room.
Nurse, the screens!
Re: Back problem
I have 2 spare bedrooms, but they are upstairs, and much smaller than TTRoom. Looks like a garage, should need arise.

Do you not fancy the idea of a small manageable layout, not in the loft?
Most people are shocked when they find out how bad I am as an electrician
Re: Back problem
Z gauge, is one answer, build on a coffee table. Or N gauge, on a wall paper table.

Re: Back problem
I downsized my layout considerably when I started again. Best thing I ever did.

Likewise. I had a layout in the loft. My son was worried about me if I ever took bad whilst running trains.Walkingthedog wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2019 8:42 am I downsized my layout considerably when I started again. Best thing I ever did.
Downsizing the layout to the son's former bedroom means more time to run trains etc..
