Painting and Weathering Service
Painting and Weathering Service
Well, I was astounded by the response to my thread regarding the restoration of the Class 71 - thank you for the positive comments.
I am now prepared to offer my services to any willing victims on the forum who may want a touch of weathering or similar done on their stock.
As you would expect, everything comes at a cost these days, so as a start I believe I can offer the following:
Locos, steam, diesel or electric - light or medium weathering - £25
Renumbering and renaming (if available) - £30
Renumbering only - £25
Steam - add real coal to tender - £6
Steam - footplate crew (3D printed and painted) - £15 per pair
Full repaint - please ask for a quote
Wagons - light weathering - £5
Return P&P - Royal Mail inc. insurance - at cost
If anyone is interested please send me a message via the forum.
I’ll put up a few pictures as examples.

I'm amazed you haven't offered these services before. Good luck with your venture, and the pricing in my limited knowledge seems very reasonable for a quality service.

Re: Painting and Weathering Service
Hi Steve
I hope you have 'dried out' after our outing on Friday. SWMBO thinks we were mad staying out in that weather but she and her friend spent even longer tramping the shops of East Grinstead. So who was the real daft one?
How much to fully line the Black 5 (bearing in mind there is lining under the handrails)? No painting involved.
P2 looks nice, by the way.
Regards

Re: Painting and Weathering Service
Ian, can you provide details of both the model and the original so I can check on transfers first. (availability and cost).
