Maybe it was the section I was looking at, as scenery is my passion. That had hardly been added to in months, but no matter, I'll keep an eye on it.

As to the other matter, at the time I was banned, so were a great many others who also had little idea why, including one of the directors of a model company!

Never mind.

I must admit it is the shorter, duller days when the need for bricks and weathering powder hits me. This summer, I have (as they say) been largely learning to fly radio controlled model aircraft. But the weather hasn't allowed a flight in 3 weeks.
I also share the winter months with slot racing, restoring toy yachts and simple steam.

Variety is the spice...

It's quite easy to get banned from the other place, all you have to do is post that you have had bad service from a dealer or supplier who happens to be a financial backer of the other place.

Then sit back and see how quickly you find you have been banned

Don't ask me how I know ;)

There we are then!
Blowed if I can remember, but it may well have been something like that.

Re the comment about the forum being slow, I was thinking the other day that whilst a few of my most recent posts have got many views (which is most appreciated), very few viewers actually left any comments....... now whilst I accept that this may entirely be down to my subject matter, I did stop to think how often do I actually take the time to leave a comments on something I have enjoyed viewing - probably not often enough, and so I have challenged myself to try to do better in this respect.

In my opinion Forums are about a two or more way dialogue and an exchange of opinions, ideas and experiences, and you cannot effectively do any of that if one doesn’t engage and fuel the debate........if we all embrace that ethos then this great forum will be far from slow.

I would just like to say that I do read all of the posts and I do appreciate members getting the camera out :) . An image of the 'set' always go down well here. However, circumstances here are not conducive to many replies. I am a carer (my wife uses a power chair, she has MS) and as I am the only driver now-a-days it leaves little time for railways. Others have their own problems possibly - it comes with our age. I have accumulated most of the bits I think I'll need but finding the time to put them together so far has stumped me. My wife did ask the question "Will you ever finish it?"

Hi Jim

Just plod away at it when time allows - it should never be finished. I've done very little on Wykeham since about February - I really do need to get to grips with it, but there always seems to be something else to do. Barry (BB)
