Rails/ Dapol announcement of Wainwright D class

Delighted to note that a Wainwright D has been announced this morning. In view of the long delays to the similarly produced LBSCR terrier I am not holding my breath for a third quarter 2020 delivery but non the less have paid my deposit. This time it would be nice if Hornby did not practice spoiler techniques as they did with the terrier. If they are minded to produce a SECR 4-4-0 why not one of the rebuilt classes D1, E1,L1 thus adding to rather than duplicating what is available? I am sure many of us would find room for both the D and a rebuilt loco.

I agree it would be very annoying if Hornby spoiled the Rails initiative. I have been wishing for the D for many years, so the Rails announcement was greatly appreciated, and have already paid a deposit on a pair. I would also be delighted to see one or more of the Maunsell inside cylinder 4-4-0s as well.
