Hornby pullman 12 wheel saloon car, extra pieces of plastic?

#1

Post by TomWilliams2000 »

Hello everyone,I bought the carriage mentioned in the title of this post the other day and opened the box, inside the box was the carriage as well as the usual bag of close couplings, in with the close couplings were the four pieces of plastic as seen in the photo below, i am unsure as to what they are and would like to know, so, if anyone does know what they are for then please do not hesitate to let me know.

Regards

Tom

They are probably name boards as shown in this picture.

Certainly look like the nameboards. I'd have expected them to have some printing on though. No transfers [or similar] loose in the box I suppose Tom? R-
Young at heart. Slightly older in other parts.

Yes I agree they are destination boards, but you will need to get stick on wording to go on to them.

Sankey Scenics, Pacific Models, Smiths, Modelmaster and others all advertise suitable products. Fox transfers even do just the lettering to make up your own.
