Peco LK55 Turntable wiring
Peco LK55 Turntable wiring
I am currently installing a 9 lane roundhouse with a Peco LK55 turntable, What I want to do is drive the loco onto the table in a forward direction, Rotate the table so that the loco enters the roundhouse backwards. Then drive the loco out in a forward direction without rotating the table. So do I need to put a reverse loop module between the table and exit track, The exit track being the same track as the entrance track. Regards, Tom

I don't think so, since dirction on DCC is determined by the loco.

Re: Peco LK55 Turntable wiring
The Peco TT uses a Spilt Ring method of feeding the TT rails.
On DCC no reverse loop module or anything other than a pair of feed wires to the two halves of the split ring of the TT rotating bridge rails are needed.
Ensure all exit tracks are feed from the DCC Bus pair of feed wires or the console if a bus is not used. As the TT doesn't feed any exit tracks. Ensure correct wiring polarity is observed with these feed wires. See my simple video .... https://youtu.be/LZFcZX0Yxv4 and have a look here too https://www.brian-lambert.co.uk/DCC_Pag ... llery1]/0/
This is the whole article including non split ring TTs..... https://www.brian-lambert.co.uk/DCC_Pag ... #Bookmark6

Re: Peco LK55 Turntable wiring
I have got the hang of the wiring, Chemo/radiotherapy has addled my brain and half the time i cant even add up. Anyway it is all wired up and working but I do have one concern, That being there is a quite a lot of slop in the table back from the direction from which it has travelled making it difficult to line up properly. I did consider gluing the hexagonal drive to the socket but would that be wise? Or on the other hand are they all like this? Regards, Tom.
Re: Peco LK55 Turntable wiring
Try packing the joint with a bit of white-tak which is firmer than blu-tak and would cushion the slop.
