Slow loco response

Just a quick question I have a Lenz controller and most of my locos are fitted with Lenz decoders, but have one or two locos that are slow to respond to the command being sent, such as lights on/off or reduction/increase in speed or even stopping. Any ideas would be much appreciated

Read values set in CV3 and CV4. If they are above 5, note them down and then decrease them both to a value of 1 in each and see how the loco performs then.
