It comes in grey so you don’t really need to paint the body just the chassis. I shall paint the whole thing to cover up my bad workmanship.

Thanks MG, it does take up more room but it’s great to work with.

Yes. You don't realize how big it is until you get something like a Mk1 coach. As I tend to pick relatively small locos and stock, even by narrow gauge standards, it is less noticeable.
How are you getting along with the couplings? I would imagine one can make a large loop instead of the bottom two pieces of chain if it will make things easier. I was thinking if the bottom piece of the chain is larger and the rest of the chain looks like a chain but is one rigid piece, it would make coupling easier and even prevent bufferlocking if used with tightly curved track.
Failing that, if you get difficulties one can always try Sprat & Winkles or even tension lock. Hopefully you will find the standard 3 links ok to use. Some people get on with them and some dont. I have to say I much rather try 7mm scale 3 links then 4mm scale 3 links.
Reminds me. I need to make more couplings for my narrow gauge stock. I tend to make the stock and as the couplings are relatively simple to make I tend to leave them for another day... And then I end up with many that need couplings added. I need to have a little coupling production line going!
I have always been impressed with 0 gauge though, and though it seems costly, is it? I would likely buy far more stock in 00 then I would in 0 as with 0 one is happy just to have "Just enough", so one can be less tempted to spend.

And if you feel adventurous, how about making your own rolling stock?

I’m getting there with the 3 link. Had a look on line and found a few ideas about hand made gadgets to make life easier.

Impressive looking WTD. I do like to see 'the big stuff'. :)

I have too much oo gauge and more so, late on in life to change things (again).

Looking forward to see further progress.

Thank you. Things are slowly progressing.

House is OO. Not sure whether to leave it there, perhaps it adds a bit of depth.

That's looking good WTD. Oh for more space.... I'd be tempted to leave the OO house there. Could be camera angle but it looks fine to me. R-

(IMHO) The 00 gauge house gives depth. A O gauge building would draw everything inwards.
